Is there a memory configuration for Wine that can be adjusted? (I haven't
used it in quite a while and I'm sure things have changed)
Most of the linux systems I have use a lot less memory but I don't have any
booting from thumb drives (SD cards on embedded Debian controllers, yes).
4 Gig should be more than enough and an old Solidworks system should be
pretty stout.
Some of the older hardware couldn't address all the memory but Linux should
tell you how much it thinks it has available with the "free" command.
