[AT] scaled down traction engines

The Midwest Old Threshers (Mt. Pleasant,Ia) had a large turnout of scaled down steam engines and steam traction engines in 1971(?), the first and only time we have attended that Labor Day weekend show. Very impressive. There may have been an unofficial competition among the exhibitors as to who could design and build the smallest functional machine. Also, that was the first time I observed a threshing machine powered by five(?) teams of horses walking (working) in a(~ 60' diameter) circle.
