[AT] Critique of TSC was Antique tractors anyone?

I still stick with quality names but buy them at auctions and yard sales where they are the older, higher quality versions(old craftsmen is better than new craftsmen for instance like Dean mentions) and rarely any more expensive than HF/TSC and usually cheaper.

So that’s a strategy for higher end tools at HF prices.

Just a random thought.

I recognize their stuff is not Snap-On, Ingersoll, or classic (pre-China) Milwaukee quality, but for my needs it's usually good enough. I haven't managed to break the 1/2" drive torque wrench I bought from them 10+ years ago...

Harbor Freight's Earthquake 1in drive impact had twice the torque the old Ingersoll had and was $100 less than the parts to fix the Ingersoll. I have had their impact sockets and wrenches for several years now, and have no problem with them. Their impact wrenches give good service for a lot less .

Maybe that isn’t Valspar paint. Might be electrostatic. Really poorly built trailers with cheap materials. I’ve noticed some other products at TSC that are not worth writing home about either. My limited experience with TSC products is they are higher priced and lower quality. <snip>
