If you leave it to the neighbors, they will sell it all to the scrap dealers where it sits. The neighbors get rid of your treasure and pocket some money with no work other than making the call. 

Maybe the people who stole your windmill  are reading the obits looking for yours. When they see it, they’ll come over the next day and take it all without paying anyone.

[Cecil Bearden ] I have thought about this for some time now.  I think I will leave the junk to someone who has been a thorn in my side over the years....  Leave it to the nosy neighbors who want me to move my treasures....  Might be able to get even when it cost them more to move it than it brings...
