[AT] LeTourneau

I really have nothing to add to this thread, but the on-going mention of
LeTourneau keeps grabbing my attention. My Father had a PhD in Dairy
Husbandry and took a job helping the Peruvian government in early 1955. I
was 12 when we went. We lived in a very small isolated town in the
Amazonian jungle (Tingo Maria)--the Peruvian govt had an Experimental
Station there. Anyway, the LeTourneaus had a facility (Tournavista) even
further back in the jungle---I didn't ever go back to their place, but my
Dad did. If my memory serves me right, there was a father and a son; I
recall one time one of them was driving some experimental vehicle (was it
electric?) from Lima to their place, and they stopped by our house for a
day or two.

Anyway, this has nothing to do with anything; I am throwing it out there on
the off chance that one of you has ties to the LeTorneaus.

I just found this link, might be of interest to someone...
