The greatest thing about bulldozers is that any time it's too wet to 
work with them, there's always something that needs fixing, so you can 
work ON them.

:-)

My dad had a 1950's vintage D6-9U that I spent some time on back in the 
late 1970's through mid 1990's. I also have a good memory from a family 
vacation where Pop and I replaced the discs in the master clutch. Hard, 
heavy work, but good times and great learning about things mechanical. 
The Old Man surely knew his way around engines and transmissions!
