Automation Direct sells low price electrical components. I recently saw BSP threaded conduit connectors and cord grips offered for sale in the US. I do not like this.

BSPP British inch straight thread
BSPT British inch tapered threads

Metric tapered threads

Tapered fittings seal by thread interference. Straight threads seal by the o ring.
