Front cylinders typically run several degrees cooler if water from radiator starts there.

Sort of a review of what some have already said, but years ago we had a
IH 350 utility tractor. It was our loader tractor but also ran the baler
all summer. It got so it would always foul the front plug, what ever
number that is, but no other plug would foul. The parts guy said to try
a hotter plug; how much hotter I don't remember. So we put a hotter plug
in just that cylinder and had the tractor for another 10 years and never
fouled another plug. Never did figure out why that one cylinder fouled
but did not argue with success.
