Ralph, you are where we were a year ago. No rain until July; the wheat
got no rain from when the snow melted until it was getting ripe. We have
some big hay growers in our area to supply feed to the big dairys in the
area. They were cutting when the hay was 6 inches hoping for rain to
start the next cutting. This year we have the opposite problem; I was
going to plant edible beans Saturday but when I went to get seed they
talked me out of it saying we could get too much rain (for those of you
not familiar with this type of bean, they don't like wet feet, and it
has always been said you want them up in three days.) Well, we got an
inch of rain yesterday, clear today but over 50% chance for the next
three days, if you could believe the weatherman. Places 70 mile south of
us got 4 inches that they did not need and, Ralph, I am sure they would
send it your way if they could.
