[AT] Portland Tri-State camping

A bunch of possible reasons. For example, all of Cecil’s emails come into my spam folder at both ISPs but virtually no one else’s emails do (a few others only show up in the spam folder very infrequently ).

Another example: I had a problem with the ATIS server years ago because it landed on one of the black hole lists(https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/DNSBL). This would cause many list members to receive ALL list messages in their spam folders. Many ISPs check these lists for roque mail servers spewing spam. I was on one of those lists because my server “ operated as an email server in a non-commercial/residential range of IP addresses”. Being a semi rural part of NC, all addresses out here are considered residential. I got an exception at that black hole site and solved it. Part of the reason I moved ATIS up to the cloud was to avoid all these mind numbing spam control hoops, hurdles and issues.

Don’t get me wrong, I believe in them and these are dozens of these lists and they do their jobs admirably but a few have hair triggers based on policies that are specious at best; downright dumb and unrealistic at worst.

So the fact we get any email at all, and all the while getting plenty of spam, is actually amazing and puzzling at the same time.

The guy that rents the campers has a waiting list, so you will probably need to send Herb a check and let him pay for it so that the camper doesn’t go back to the waiting list instead of to you.

As one of the original members/instigators of the meet I think we should do Wed. and Thurs. meeting around the nightly campfire, in our camping area. I would encourage all ATIS members to come to our camp site / fire on Thursday evening. So we can "toast" with a drink. Those "colorful 'members " and all others that no longer with us.

I was really hoping for a throwback visit to the Back 40 in Decauter IN (about 25 mins away if I remember right) , where everyone brings a small engine/tractor part or tool for sale for a silent auction. The money would go to the tri-state gas engine tractor association for being such great hosts over the years. I still need to get more information from the engine folks as well. I would like for both groups to get together for this.

We will need volunteers to help Gary with the trailer parking and I will need volunteers to man the northwest gate for golf cart access to downtown. May be asking for help in other areas such as Trading post and registrations. Please don't be bashful about asking any director or officer where help is needed.
