I happened to see the movie "Ford vs. Ferrari" recently and realized that there was some similarity between the Ford-Ferguson 9N development and the Ford GT40 development. The two efforts were roughly 25 years apart. As Enzo Ferrari said, Hank the Deuce was not Henry Ford.

What was common to both is that a small team that had been selling products partnered with Ford in an imperfect development partnership.

The movie had a good look at the Shelby Cobra roadster in impractical use as a daily driver.
