And after seeing this straight-eight thing banded about, it finally popped
into what little is left of my functional mind! Pontiac, of course. "The
Pontiac *straight*-*8 engine* is an *inline eight*-cylinder automobile
*engine* produced by Pontiac from 1933 to 1954."
