That is the era of IH that I collect John. The Farmall Regular was first
introduced in 1924 with 200 of them sold, so yours is considered an early
one, and should have the early "round" governor, plus a few other
differences. I wouldn't throw out a price range without seeing some
pictures and knowing a little more about it. What is the serial number??Does
it have the original carburetor, exhaust, throttle/spark linkage, and things
of that sort?

Subject: [Farmall] Regular sales prices
Lets talk OLD tractors. Got a fellow interested in buying my 1926
Farmall Regular. Fellow has been looking at a couple pcs of my old stuff
for years, now seems ready to exchange some cash.
Mine is a rough, cheap, "restoration"--Hey I did it when I was 18 so I
can say what I want about it! Anyway, its on cutdown rear wheels,
replacement fronts (maybe from an F-20), has F4 mag instead of E4A,
engine block has about a 60 year old patch, a little welding on the
front end (real old repair), incorrect starting tank, patched up
radiator, very worn and leaky rear end, carb may leak a little. One
bonus is this machine has an upgraded upholstered seat with back rest--I
think its in the parts books as an option. I had it running last year.
Paint is 30 years old and not great.
So has anyone seen any Regulars for sale lately, or similar tractors? I
need to put a price on it for him. A couple years back there was a
collection liquidated near here that saw really cheap prices for some
fairly decent looking older machines--talking a few hundred bucks here.
With the condition I described any one care to toss out a price range?
Don't be afraid to insult me, Its a good parts machine if nothing else.
