Sounds like an amazing life!

I know you were proud of him and enjoyed your time with him. My condolences for you and your family as you grieve his passing. A friend once told me, when my grandfather died, it is no tragedy when an old man dies. I remember thinking when my friend told me that he must not have ever had an old man in his life die.

But now that the separation of time has given me a chance to reconsider, I now realize what he meant. He meant that the relay race of life simply passed the baton to us. It is what nature intended. So celebrate your father's contribution to mankind and his love. And look forward to a future where you can teach all of his offspring the lessons he imparted to you.

Best wishes to you and your family and you hug, cry, laugh and love over the next several months and years.
