Good possibility the plate on the bottom of the pump is warped and the
gasket is blown. The plates can be faced off at a machine shop, made of
aluminum, I think. If you need to pull the pump its pretty easy, 2 bolts
with locking tabs on the side of the block then it just slides right out.
I've been told you can add a washer to the spring to compress it more, but I
have never done that. If bearings aren't in the budget or time doesn't
permit, check the pump plate and use one or 2 quarts of Lucas oil until you
can do a proper rebuild.

Subject: [Farmall] Farmall C oil pressure

Hi All. Can the oil pressure be adjusted on a farmall c? It's only about
10 psi cold, then falls close to zero hot. I pulled the pan to check the
pickup screen, it's all clean. It runs fine and doesn't seem to burn oil...
is there a spring that's either adjustable or just worn out?
thanks,dave
