[AT] more old balers

One baler that I have not seen mentioned was the New Holland Compact 65. 
It may be because not a lot were sold and also because they were from 
the 60's. I had 2 uncles that had them. They made a 12X16 bale instead 
of the standard 14X18 bales we all know. Both uncles had back trouble 
and the smaller bales were easier to handle. A couple of people around 
here that had them said their bales were popular with the horse people 
because the women could easily handle them. All of the parts were the 
same as full size balers except for the plunger. My high school years we 
had a NH 268 baler. Later, on my own I bought a used NH 270 baler. Both 
did a good job but the big plus was they tied better than most any other 
baler and were fairly easy to work on. Because I no longer have 
livestock, not even a rabbit, I haven't baled in 10 years; although I 
still keep the baler. About 4 years ago I bought a AC roto-baler (  to 
see how they work google them). I had no use for it but years ago a 
couple of uncles had them and I thought it would be neat to have one. As 
I said, I have no animals, but each year I bale 35 or 40 bales of wheat 
straw just to see it work and give the bales to a neighbor for his 
horses; I just want the bales off the field so its a win win for both of 
us. Also I would like to thank everyone who posts pictures of their 
haying or any other farm activity. I really enjoy the pictures and as 
they say-- a picture is worth a thousand words.
