Speaking of long life reliability, I still have the old rotary vane pump 
that my dad used to pump fuel into his first tractor,
a DC4 Case in the late 1940s. I use it on odd occasions and it always 
works. I think there might be some brass parts inside
and there is no sign of rust or corrosion.
