Spencer, it is too bad you were not here in California as there are
still LOTS of old Fords with loaders. Unlike other parts of the country,
most tend to be slightly shorter lengths, so easier to maneuver. Tractor
prices are lower in California than the rest of the country too. I know
I have a loader for sale, but it was mounted on a Japanese 1980s style
MF1180 and I am not sure if it would fit on your MF235. Also, it is
nearly 3000 miles away.

Or keep the 861D and go with a smaller tractor just for its front loader? The price differential between a little 22 hp tractor with a FEL and 40 hp tractor, all other things being equal in terms of wear, years, etc is not that great. I really feel like it would be foolish to own two tractors when the little one cost 10K or more But then again the extra money for that larger single replacement tractor is extra money. And it doesn't grow on trees.
