Mike , use a external drive for extra storage . My experience so far is mine has outlasted three towers and still working . I dont keep it plugged in all the time but instead prefer it for selective backups and not often used stuff . They can be pluged in anytime without problems,very portable and not hackable unless pluged in . Ivan
