Back in 1959 when I was buying my first tractors we had no way of knowing 
how old they were. There were only a couple of books published about old 
tractors. Very few people were interested. There was no internet and no 
serial number lists available. I had a Cletrac AG and a Oliver (cletrac) 
HG. Neither one had the serial number plates. I later assumed the AG was a 
'39 and the HG was early '40's, but had no way of knowing for sure.
