Hi All,
As many of you know, I've been looking for an Oliver 88 for awhile.
 Somehow, I found one. Yay!
A few weeks ago I was at my grandfather's place. Him and I were
looking at some of the old iron that he has up there, and he took me
to the shed that housed the 88 I always drive around out there to kill
time.
Anyway, he looked at me saying, "there's your pile of bolts." I was
rather puzzled...
Going on then, I offered to buy the tractor from him and he said he'd think.
I teased him about it for awhile, and he said something about
"giving" it to me. I was puzzled again...
To make a long story short, last night it followed us home. Tonight,
it's in the shed.
This particular 88 has the original motor that still purs like a tiny
kitten. It also still has the belt pulley that works good, live PTO,
and rockshaft.
This particular 88 doesn't have hydrolics unfortunately.
It has the lights to, but for some reason they don't work. Not sure
where to even start there.
So we unloaded it today and I drove it around for awhile. Runs pretty good!
Sorry Dean VP, but the JD a had to go to the other side of the shed
to make room for the Oliver. It wasn't all to happy about it. (grin!)
Just thought I'd share this. Do we have any other Oliver collectors on here?
This 88 has much sentimental value to me, and the 88 has some very
significant history in our family.
 Have a good day!
