Hi Ralph. Yes, it felt surprisingly nice out there--it had been overcast
and still snowing lightly when I went out to the barn, but within a short
while the sun came out and there wasn't much wind. Air temperature was
probably about 20°F. Now it's back down to 11 with a forecast overnight
low of 1 below, 11 below tomorrow night. That's pretty cold for here.

Hi Gene. Yes, this was for fun and practice more than actual need. Last
winter I wasn't here full time yet, only came up every other day or so to
check on things, and my snow-clearing equipment consisted of me and my scoop
shovel. The 620 and rear blade is way nicer than that, but I wanted to see
how easy it'd be to swing the blade around so I'm always throwing the snow
to the downwind side and figure out the side-to-side tilt (which changes
when I swing the blade to throw to one side or the other). I'm thinking if
there's a really big snow I'll just keep the plow a few inches above the
driveway so I don't have to worry about getting the tilt just right.
