Even the 3 cells work pretty well for that. I used them directing 
traffic and every now and then "getting the attention of a civilian"
My new lightweight traffic director doesn't do that as well but it's 
MUCH nicer to hold for 2-3 hours. Plus it can be clipped into a 
reflector and work as a detour beacon.
