When I bought my 2005 Ford 250 I found it had an after-market remote start on it (as well as a factory block heater). When the temp gets down below 20 degrees I plug the truck in at night and then use the remote start about 10 minutes before I drive anywhere. Not only does the engine heat up in that time, but the cab is also warm IF I remember to leave the heater fan on!

PS, I will have to admit that it's more pleasant to drive here in FL each morning!
