John,
     New 1 3/8 shaft and  oil seal on the way.   There certainly is a 
very good chance my shaft, and likely the whole pto unit, is from a 
straight A.  I can see that when the Super was new, the purchaser would 
likely have equipment powered by the smaller shaft and would want the 
small shaft.  Nowadays,  I would not have any reason for the smaller 
shaft and an 1 3/8 shaft just makes a nicer tractor and probably puts it 
correct.
