[Farmall] Red Tractors 1958-2013

Hello Dean.

Your post abaout 560 and 460 tractors is interesting,  i had the idea that
 these tractors had a massive failure  in their rear end because the
increasing of the power of the new engine.   I understood this reading  the
book of Ken Updike about red tractors,  but may be the bad publicity
generated the idea, and that was not  all true.

I have the idea too that, Torque amplifier  used to fail sometimes,  (that
was true here in some cases)  wich was a problem difficult to fix (you had
to split the tractor, and if you are in the works season you donot have
time for that) so people used to chagne the tractor.

May be International suffered a lot issues  that together  generated the
problem.   The big strike that took place i think was a  bad knok too.

Any way  today  i think that Case IH is strong, and the legacy of IH is
everywhere in the products,  the only thing that may be i worry about is
that the owner of the company is not american at all, that could be a
problem in a future.
