When I said it boils the fluid out, it will blow the filler/check
dipstick out under the seat and fill the cab floor with oil. We were
pulling a hydro swing swather that had its own pump the hydraulics were
only used for raising or turning, the power steering worked fine. We
also pulled a 15 ft bush hog with it and it would blow the fluid out the
dipstick. The tractor has plenty of power, I never have loaded it enough
to open the governor.

A course strainer can work to keep rocks and rags out of pumps, but a better solution is not to allow rocks and rags in the tank.
