My guess, narrow front tractors work better for row crop farming. Since
we had no row crop farming here in Sask. it was always a novelty to see
a narrow front tractor. A few did show up in the post war years when new
tractors were in high demand and short supply so dealers were having
whatever they could find shipped in to supply the farmers. One of my
Uncles got a narrow front DC3 Case and later, a Farmall M. He converted
the DC to wide front for extra stability and he did tip the M once.
