[AT] Gas problem now diesel

In the fifties, an uncle bought a new Cat D4.  It used more fuel than 
the traded in D2.  After running low or maybe even out of fuel in the 
field, a hired hand took two cans of fuel to the field and dumped it 
in.  Fired up the Cat and disked the rest of the day. They later found 
out that one of the cans was not diesel fuel, but was 2,4D.  Engine ran 
fine and at least up to the time it was sold about 3 years ago the main 
engine had never been worked on.  It also did not have any broadleaf 
weeds growing in it that I know of.
