[AT] uncomfortable houses

My house was built by my grandparents beginning about 1940. As
currently configured 1 bedroom on the first floor and 2 upstairs. My
grandparent's small bedroom is now my office - it was just barely big
enough to hold a full bed and a wardrobe back in the day. Now a built
in desk, a bookcase some built in cabinets and a chair.

I'm still able to make the trek up and down but some years ago after a
long stay in a hospital I moved to the first floor bedroom for several
months.

20 years ago there was no issue with the stairs, 10 years ago there was
a time. 10 years from now I might be back to all first floor.
