Many thanks for the responses!  Nice to know it works, at least to everywhere except parts of Pa!  Last time I tried to post - many moons ago - it bounced back, for reasons I couldn't figure out.

All this effort to post is brought on by Greg's 'To be or not to be' post, which caused me to think about the ebb and flow of the ATIS list over the years, and really, what a remarkable collection of individuals and life experiences that are shared. To sit by and not contribute when I can - what little that may be - just isn't right. I usually can't offer much - raised in Kentucky and in California since a teenager, I operated heavy iron in a previous career and still lend a hand to a friends haying effort - baling or disking when he's pushed for time and I want to sit in the seat for a while.

And without the list I'd never have known Grant is just down the road - 20 minutes away - in Hollister, making a go in the veggie & greens market!  We haven't hooked up yet but that will happen....  Anyway, thanks for the wakeup call, Greg!

And too, my tractor collecting / restoration efforts took a turn when the wife had a cow over 'stuff' that was filling up the yard. Being on the edge of town, but still in town means working within the confines of a 10,000 sf lot... so after the last Ford 8N project we came to an agreement that I'd focus on smaller 'stuff' - garden tractors.... come to find out that I can get a lot more garden tractor than full size tractor in the same area!!! And apparently it doesn't quite register quite the same way on the wife's radar; only last year did she get around to counting & was, um, 'amazed' to find 11 'sitting in the fencerow'! Some will be scrapped, some will get 'refurbished' and sold, and others are keepers - a 16 hp Montgomery Ward with a loader is quite handy!

btw, if it seems I'm a little slow in responding, it's because I get the daily digest version, which comes in around 9:15 am. Still 'swinging a hammer', I don't get to it 'till the evening, and sometimes not even then. I've tried to change to the individual e-mail, but having no clue as to what my password is - I've been on the list since the '90's!! - changing the option is a challenge!

Best
