[AT] Small Backhoes?

Any of these suggestions would be better than buying a small, and most 
likely, underpowered earthmover.  Moving dirt takes power!  Don't remember 
if you mentioned limited access, which really restricts capability and 
efficiency.
Most utility companies have powered pole hole auger/diggers on sizeable 
trucks; know anyone working there?

I understand Dons frustration with the Ozark excavator, but I too am
thinking that hand digging a 3x3x1 hole for three consecutive days would be
better than relying on anyone. Even if it took a pick to break rocks.
