South of Lake Ontario we made out about the same as Richard. Wind in
the 60's and a few hours of sideways rain in sheets. No serious
damage. Did not loose power here, although 22,000 with RG and E did.
That is how it usually works as National Grid maintains their system
far better. I can see a 35 foot pine tree on a neighbors property
that has gone roots up. The Lake Ontario shoreline had 20 foot storm
surge waves so those homeowners have their share of damage. I always
feel better when the huff and puff are over.
