I recently bought a Troy-Bilt chipper shredder off Craig's list.  It is 
20 years old and had never been used.  I got the year from the date code 
on the B&S engine as 1991.  I looked into Troy-Bilt and found that they 
were part of Gardenway who went under around 2001.  MTD bought the 
Troy-Bilt name and other products out of bankruptcy court but not the 
chipper shredders.  Those were later purchased by Murray but I do not 
think they were ever put back into production.

The chipper works great chewing 4" branches into a mulch.  I welded up a 
hitch so it can be moved about with the mower.  What I would like to 
find is a source for parts and a manual.
