What I did on my shop is get a plastic box on the outside that had 2 tabs to hold it down.  It has a top rear conduit port, and also a bottom conduit port.
I put a short peice of plastic conduit on the top rear port, and then inserted that though the hole. I then attached the box with some metal screws to the siding and also the OSB basking that I have under the siding.
I out sealant around the hole before I tighten the box.
It has been working good with no leaks.
