[AT] OT- hour meter

I tried that once a few years ago.  However, to really get the speed and 
power out of a log splitter, I needed a 5 hp electric motor to run the 
hyd pump.  That required a 10KW generator, and a 5 hp single phase motor 
(true 5hp) was over $500.  I also tried to do that on sprayer motors.  I 
settled on getting hydraulic driven spray pumps, and keeping a better 
handle on the maintenance of my small engines.   The biggest expense is 
those small batteries that garden tractors use.  They just do not hold 
up more than one summer.
