Good deal, Ben.  I understand not wanting to upset the carb
adjustments on the loaner.  Hopefully you have cured the hard
starting.  If so you can probably live with the 1/2 choke situation
for a while.  In the meantime you can keep watch for an affordable
used carburetor.
