I do not believe the 25 MPH figure unless modifications have been made.

Hi Jack,

I have had a lot of different people saying that the tractors will do speeds of 10mph to 25mph so its hard to tell of our exact
speed. I want to have a run out with the tractors soon but every time i get some time off there seems to be a problem with one of
the tractors. So i honestly cant tell you what speed we will be doing only that whatever speed we do the run will take place.

We at MasseyFerguson at YahooGroups.com have been wondering about the as-manufactured speeds of the TE-20 based on the engine options.

Hi Jack,
Thanks for looking at the website. Smile <http://gfx1.hotmail.com/mail/w4/pr04/ltr/emo/smile.gif> We are using TE 20s on the run.
I have been reliably informed that 10-12 mph and even 15 mph is attainable depending on wheel size and tyre size. Also it is
downhill from Scotland to England so we hope to gain 1 or 2 miles per hour on that alone. Who me?

Have you thought about joining us along the route? Do you have a vintage tractor? We are looking for as many tractors as poss' to
turn up and join us ( even just for a short time ) especially on Day 7 Darwen to the Christie Hospital & Manchester Piccadilly train
station then on to Glossop. Also on Day 9 when we call in on MF HQ for lunch an pics. Party smile

If you know of anyone else who might want to join in please pass the word on or point them towards the website for more info.

This looks like fun. I believe a factory stock TO-30 has a top speed of 9.8 MPH.
