Dick you are right about that.  Mine was designed for a Massey Ferguson. 
I had to modify the frame and then build a reaction bar to transfer load 
from the top link attachment to the draw bar.  Otherwise it would have 
busted the top link bracket out of the rear tractor housing.

I believe I remember reading some negative comments about 3-pt units.
Something about the stress was too much for some tractors.
