[AT] Hello???

Mattias, I'm stepping on the edge of the cliff here with what Spencer
allows so I'll make this statement in a neutral a manner as I can and leave
it alone.
Our current government, in my opinion, is trying to drive us to the same
sort of socialist system you folks have fallen into. We have the means
for total energy independence yet our government shuts down domestic energy
production under the name of environmental concerns while it encourages and
funds production
in foreign lands who have NO concern for the environment and pretend that
the waters don't flow and the winds don't blow around the entire planet. I
jokingly use a statement I
read years ago. The green/environmental movement is best described as a
watermellon. Green on the outside with a red heart.

Charlie,
It has crippled our economy for decades and your economy is crippled by
your dependent in foreign oil (and a few more things that would be way to
political to even think about when writing to this list;-). There are tax
deductions for people that travel to work here, remember we also have great
distances and a lot of rural areas. I believe the deduction is around 0.40
USD/mile and no deduction for the first thousand dollars. Still it takes
half the income for some people or makes it "better" to live on well fare.
