Ok, I'll answer as careful as I can with an analysis:
That's a perfect description of our political system for decades. Of course
it describes your latest administration as well. We have been going more
and more your way the two last administrations and you are going the other
way. Of course it's still a fact that that our right wing parties are left
of your democrats so I don't think we will meet in the middle for long but
who knows.

I like to use that one with the watermelon, usually I call
the environmental party, the environmental communists.
