[Farmall] cub seat

John, lust some thoughts.

Before you take the plunge to the deluxe seat, suggest that you try
one out on someone else's cub and see how it suits you. Mine is
comfortable enough once seated, but getting in and out is a bit of a
challenge. It fills the deck from fender to fender so no access is
available from the back. Having the clutch and brake pedals on the
front side limits that access. I pretty much have to get on and off
over the right rear wheel. I use the double wheel weights like a step
ladder. Because my seat is in the forward position for shorter legs,
I have to sort of worm around to get onto the seat under the steering
wheel. Not as bad as putting on a JD model L when you wish to drive
it, but not especially handy either. Much easier to get onto my
Farmall M or 560. A lot may depend on individual body flexibility.
When I was a kid, I could slip onto the JD model L and off again like
fingers into a glove.
