Raw milk--guess I am already dead and my 97 yr old Dad is also-and....My dad milked mornings and I milked evening when I got home from school. Cooled it by cotton sacks and anything else cool-cold----had no refrigerators. Once we got freezer/refrig we had home made ice cream every day in the summer but not every day winter--I hated winters for that reason!! ...lol Yes, most every day some form of milk...butter, buttermilk, cottage cheese all those things that I guess are bad for you now and can kill a person in early life..p.s. Dad's 97 still farming, and blood pressure is about 90/60---it would be better but that ole raw milk about done'em in!!!
Cats did not survive though---too many coyotes! But the cats loved my milking and missing the bucket!! Fly's did too but not too many of them as DDT took care of that everyday!
Life was good but raw milk so dangerous, especially if cow lifted foot, place into bucket. Had to use my mom's silk stocking to seine the milk then.
Used JD B to plow the wheat fields.
Wayne

Chuck , its funny but as a kid I had access to drink it but had no taste
for it. There were a few local customers though that would gladly pay
for a quart sealer of cream. We used to sell it by 5 gallon cans to the
creamery and it paid for most of the groceries when we were kids .
Interesting to see the lengths that the feds are going to in an effort
to stem the illicit flow of "raw milk".
