If the engine was not under a constant full %100 load I would probably continue for the 2 hours...

Will it hurt the engine if I keep using it knowing that the engine oil is getting contaminated by hydraulic oil? I can tear it all apart before I finish, but I'd really like to get this project done first.

My "guess" would be that a little hyd oil will not hurt the engine oil .
We used to add some type A automatic trans fluid to the engine oil
sometimes if a sticky hydraulic lifter was suspected.
