[AT] Ford 1841 fuel problem

The idle screw has a spring but not the main.  It has a hole drilled thru it
& a pin to turn it with instead of a normal head like most have.  I may be
able to tighten the collar that holds it in; haven't tried that yet.  It may
well make a difference once I put a good load on it

That's great!

It seems to me that my similar carburetors have a coil spring around the 
jet screw to help keep the screw from turning. Also, I think adjusting 
the jet won't accomplish much at idle - mine didn't work right under 
load until it was about 5 turns out.
