[AT] Carb problems

And Holiday greetings to all the ATIS folks from me.

As far as repairing the OLD B&S engines, parts are generally hard to
find. I suspect the main reason is most folks just don't bother. On the
other hand, there are LOT of old B&S engines lying around with broken
rods and other internal problems, so used carburetors can usually be
found, and you could probably make one good one out of a couple of used
ones. Even gaskets are hard to find - I had to make my own carb gasket
for a neighbor's very old DR Mower whose B&S carb needed work. (Another
story for another day...)

One place to start is to join the "Sharing small engine secrets" group
on Yahoo - the folks there are very much like the ATIS folks
(knowledgeable and helpful).
