[AT] OT - Wooden vs Concrete?

There's an old saying here in northeast Missouri:  There's only two kinds of basements, cracked and leaking ones and those that are gonna crack and leak.  I have one acquaintance with the wooden basement here.  House has been in place for around 20 years.  I've not heard of him complain of any problems.  Next time I see him I'll try to remember to ask him about his experience.
