Wellllllll that spark was on. Appreciate all your replies. The fuel was
their too. But it had no compression on three cylinders. The lifters are
toast, The cam is tired too. I have a better looking one from a 48 C model Are
they interchangeible? I took the block in to have it boiled out. When I
drove out the liners I noticed one had a chunk out of it. There also was a
corresponding brazed rip on the oil pan. The block looks good,(no cracks) it
does not have any holes for a generator bracket on it at all. I have
another B rearend and center piece with a hole in it for a starter. I am half
tempted to put a ring on the flywheel an install the motor on the other half
a tractor. But I don't like mixin things all up (other than cams) Is the
magneto start system reliable I kind of see it like putting electric start on
a early Harley it just don't seem right. An all the rods an mains had the
little brass shims. The machine shop had never seen that, he not that old.
The crank looks rough on journal surface. It will have to be turned down.
Say it is turned down 0.30 now when I order 30 under bearings why or how do
I even use those brass shims? I have plenty of parts to clean up an some
time to listen to any an all suggestions.
