Our home place is all like that. There is no flat land. My grandfather
farmed with a team and a Knapp sidehill plow. It was a 2 way plow so
all the land is turned downhill, too steep to turn uphill. I farmed
with a wide gauge D2 and later a D4. There are places they used to
farm with horses that are too steep to farm with a Cat. Some of the
best soil is in the steepest spots.
