[Farmall] 1950 cub oil filter bolt

I am sure others will have their thoughts, but here is what I would do:

I would run a correct size plug tap very gently down through the 
casting. If it runs through with little effort, then I would just leave 
that part alone. If the block casting is badly damaged, then an insert 
(or brazing and re-drilling/tapping) might be your only alternative, and 
I would leave something like that up to a machine shop to handle.

Then I would run a die gently over the bolt threads to see if the 
threads can be restored. That bolt doesn't need huge amounts of torque 
to seal the filter housing, so you don't need perfect threads. If the 
bolt is ruined, a replacement, new or used should not be hard to find.
